Showreel

Want a quick look at what I've been working on most recently? Here's a quick showreel from my time at Omnicom/The Marketing Arm, Cyrano Video and some independent projects to get a feel for my style to see if it's a fit for your project.

Corona Reel

Over the course of 2025, I've worked on numerous social spots for Corona that I cut, color corrected, and did the sound design from beginning to end.

Papa Murphy's Reel

One of my first OMC clients in 2022, I've editied, color corrected and done the logo/super animations on a number of Papa Murphy's spots since then.

Cyrano Motion Reel

During my time at Cyrano Video, I designed a variety of lower thirds, title cards, calls to action, transitions, holiday greetings, and more. Most were also exported as customizable motion graphics templates, with automatically resizing text elements, editable colors, and swappable logos.

My Services

Video Editing

I have worked professionally as a Video Editor now for five years and have been editing for over seven. My main software proficiency is in Adobe Premiere Pro, although I do

occasionally use Davinci Resolve. I will help take your edit from RAWs to delivered, help clean up and finalize a partially finished project, collaborate with a team of editors and other media specialists, or bring my own suite of skills to a situation to see it through solo! Whatever the situation calls for, I have no doubt I can help.

Motion Design

I have worked professionally as a Motion Graphics Designer now for five years and have been designing and animating for six. I began this career path as an Ad Director for a student organization in college, where I began to teach myself the fundamentals of motion design. My primary software proficiency is in Adobe After Effects, and I will often illustrate my own work in either Adobe Illustrator or Procreate before bringing it into After Effects to bring it to life.

About Me

I am currently employed remotely at Omnicom Studios as a Video Editor and Motion Graphic Designer through their Chicago branch, where I have worked since 2022. I create spots for broadcast and digital, animate motion graphics, and work as a colorist for some clients. A few of the brands I've worked with include the US Army, General Mills, Wendy's, Papa Murphy's, Bayer, and more. There is no "day in the life as an editor/mogfx designer" for my role here, as my tasks vary wildly day to day, but that unpredictability has kept me adaptable and flexible as a media artist.

Before Omnicom, I was employed at Cyrano Video from 2021-2022, where I worked as a Video Editor and Motion Graphic Designer/Lead. Though the varied nature of my work was similar to what I currently do at Omnicom, Cyrano was a much smaller production company, giving me a wide range of experience in team sizes and budgets. My main tasks were same or next day turnarounds of client shot videos, which needed to be edited, color corrected, and have brand-specific graphics applied before rollout. I also worked to create a wide range of motion graphics templates for use by editors directly in editing software.

Finally, Merlin Media serves as my own personal freelance operation. You might be able to tell from my agency jobs, but I like to do a little bit of everything, and working as a multimedia generalist allows me to do just that. I have done traditional edits, worked on my own passion projects, and even helped illustrate a cereal box under the Merlin Media name!

I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in winter of 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Film and Video Production, along with a minor in Art and a minor in Animation. During my time here, I also served as the Ad Director for our school's official student chapter of ACM SIGGRAPH, an international computer graphics/interactive art organization, which also hosts the world's largest computer graphics and interactive media conference, where I served as a student volunteer three times.

My name is Bethany! I am primarily a Video Editor and Motion Graphic Designer based out of Pittsburgh, PA, though I also work as a colorist, illustrator, footage archivist, and whatever else the situation calls for. When I'm not at work you might find me fostering kittens for my local shelter, out birding at Frick Park, or playing board games or DND with my friends on the weekend. And when all's said and done, what better way to wind down after a long day than with a nice horror movie?
